The Indian Army is recruiting for several Agniveer posts. Each post has specific educational and physical requirements.

Educational: Class 10th (Matric) with at least 45% marks overall and a minimum of 33% in each subject.

Physical (Group I): Height: 169 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec (60 Marks), Pull Ups: 10 Times (40 Marks), 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

Agniveer Technical

Educational: 10+2 Intermediate in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English) with at least 50% marks overall and 40% in each subject. OR 10+2 Intermediate with a 1-year ITI Course.

Physical (Group I): Height: 162 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec (60 Marks), Pull Ups: 10 Times (40 Marks), 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

Agniveer (Office Asst/ Store Keeper Technical)

Educational: 10+2 Intermediate in any stream with at least 60% marks overall and 50% in each subject. You must have scored 50% marks in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12.

Physical (Group I): Height: 162 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec (60 Marks), Pull Ups: 10 Times (40 Marks), 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass

Educational: Class 10th High School Pass from any recognized board in India, with a minimum of 33% in each subject.

Physical (Group I): Height: 169 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec (60 Marks), Pull Ups: 10 Times (40 Marks), 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

Agniveer Tradesman 8th Pass

Educational: Class 8th Pass from any recognized board in India, with a minimum of 33% in each subject.

Physical (Group I): Height: 169 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec (60 Marks), Pull Ups: 10 Times (40 Marks), 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

Agniveer GD (Women Military Police)

Educational: Class 10th / Matric Pass with at least 45% marks overall and a minimum of 33% in each subject. If your board uses a grading system, you need a minimum of ‘D’ Grade (33% – 40%) in individual subjects and an overall ‘C2’ grade or equivalent (45% aggregate). Having a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License is preferred for driver roles. Indian Gorkhas need a simple Class 10th pass.

Physical (Group I): Height: 162 CM, Long Jump: 10 Feet, High Jump: 3 Feet, Running: 1.6 Km in 7 Min, 30 Sec.

Sepoy Pharma

Educational: 10+2 equivalent pass and D.Pharma with at least 55% marks overall, registered with a State Pharmacy Council/Pharmacy Council of India. OR B.Pharma with at least 50% marks, registered with a State Pharmacy Council/Pharmacy Council of India.

Physical: Height: 169 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec, Pull Ups: Qualify, 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant

Educational: 10+2 Intermediate Pass in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) with at least 50% marks overall and 40% in each subject. OR 10+2 Intermediate Pass in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, English) with at least 50% marks overall and 40% in each subject.

Physical: Height: 169 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 KM in 5 Min 45 Sec, Pull Ups: Qualify, 9 Feet Ditch: Qualify, Zigzag Balance: Qualify.

JCO Religious Teacher RT

Educational: Specific qualifications vary by religion:

  • Pandit / Pandit Gorkha (Hindu): Sahastri / Acharya in Sanskrit with Karam Kand as a main subject OR a One Year Diploma in Karam Kand.
  • Granthi (Sikh): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and ‘Gyani’ in Punjabi.
  • Padre (Christian): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority, on the approved list of the local Bishop.
  • Maulvi (Shia) (Muslim): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and Alim in Arabic or Adeeb-e-Mahir/Urdu Mahir in Urdu.
  • RT Budhist (Buddhist): Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and ordained Monk/Buddhist Priest by the appropriate authority (Head Priest of the Monastery with Geshe (PhD) of Khanpa or Lopon or Rabjam certificate).

Physical (Group I): Height: General: 160 CM, Gorkhas & Ladakhi Region: 157 CM, Chest: 77 CM (+ 5 CM Expansion), Running: 1.6 Km in 8 Minutes.

Eligibility

To apply for these positions, you need to meet certain age requirements as of July 01, 2026. The Indian Army also offers age relaxation as per its rules.
